Spirit Juice: Artisans of Order (Matthew 5:9)
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the Children of God.
Brothers & Sisters,
Every person leaves a trail behind them.
Some leave confusion.
Some leave division.
Some leave drama.
Some leave wounded relationships, broken trust, and unnecessary conflict.
But the sons & daughters of God leave something different.
They leave peace.
Not the weak kind.
Not the fake kind.
Not the "keep everybody happy" kind.
The kind that has to be built.
Jesus did not say:
"Blessed are the peace-lovers."
He said:
"Blessed are the peacemakers."
Makers build things.
They sweat.
They sacrifice.
They step into messes.
They absorb blows.
They repair what others are tearing apart.
Anyone can complain.
Anyone can criticize.
Anyone can throw gasoline on a fire.
But it takes a person filled with Christ to carry water.
Our world is drowning in outrage.
Social media profits from it.
Politics feeds on it.
The culture rewards it.
Everybody wants to win arguments.
Very few want to win souls.
The peacemaker refuses to become another source of noise.
They become a source of order.
Because here's the truth:
We cannot bring peace into our home if there is war in our heart.
We cannot calm storms around us while feeding storms within us.
The first battlefield isn't Washington.
It isn't the culture.
It isn't the internet.
It's the six inches between our ears.
Our pride.
Our anger.
Our ego.
Our need to be right.
Our desire to have the last word.
Before God uses a person to heal division around them, He usually heals division within them.
That's why the strongest people are often the most humble.
They don't need to dominate every conversation.
They don't need to win every fight.
They don't need every ounce of credit.
They know who they are.
And because they know who they are, they can serve.
Brothers & Sisters, our mission is simple:
When we walk into a room, chaos should decrease.
When we enter a conversation, bitterness should decrease.
When we lead our families, fear should decrease.
When we leave a situation, people should be closer to God than before we arrived.
That's what The Peacemakers do.
They do the work of their Father.
And our Father is a God of order, truth, reconciliation, and peace.
So today, be the person who takes the first step.
Make the phone call.
Offer forgiveness.
Speak the truth with charity.
Refuse the gossip.
Resist the outrage.
Protect the unity.
Carry the burden.
Be an artisan of order.
Because the world has enough critics.
What it desperately needs is peacemakers.
To Build.
To Reconcile.
To Lead.
To Serve.
And let people see the family resemblance.
