Spirit Juice: Worry? Put your trust in God

Strap in, pour a finger of that holy spirit juice, and let’s walk through Matthew 6:25–34 like a grizzled NCO giving a barracks sermon at oh-dark-thirty.
Alright—Jesus comes in hot and says, “Stop freaking out.” Not in a gentle, harp-and-clouds way. More like a calm, steady “Stay frosty” from someone who’s already seen the battlefield from end to end.
He’s saying:
Don’t worry about chow, threads, or whether tomorrow’s gonna hit you like a freight train.
Why? Because if you’re breathing, Citizen, you’re already on the active roster. Life isn’t just rations and body armor. It’s the mission.
Then, He points up at the birds—airborne freeloaders with zero supply chain, no 401(k), and not a single spreadsheet—and says:
They eat just fine. You think you rate lower than a sparrow?
That’s a hard no. You’re not expendable NPC cannon fodder.
Next He talks about worry like it’s some busted piece of gear.
Can you add one inch to your height or one minute to your lifespan by stressing?
Negative, Ghost Rider.
Worry doesn’t extend the mission—it just burns fuel while you’re standing still.
That’s like revving a Harley in neutral and wondering why you’re not going anywhere.
Then He gestures at the flowers—absolute show-offs, dressed better than a rock star in their prime, and they didn’t lift a finger.
If God outfits weeds like royalty—and they’re gone tomorrow—how much more is He covering you?
Translation: Supply has already been authorized. Stop acting like you’re behind enemy lines with no backup.
And here’s the kicker—the part where He sounds like a commander who’s had enough of excuses:
Don’t live like everyone else, obsessing over stuff. They don’t know who’s got their six.
That’s the truth right there. The world panics because it thinks it’s alone. You’re not. You’ve got overwatch.
So what do you do?
Seek first the Kingdom. Seek what’s right.
Put the mission first. Do the right thing even when it’s inconvenient. Trust the chain of command. The rest? Food, shelter, provision?Added. Automatically. Like a perks package you didn’t even know you qualified for.
Finally, Jesus closes it out like a veteran who’s seen too many rookies break under pressure:
Don’t borrow trouble from tomorrow. Today’s got enough of its own.
Win the fight in front of you. Don’t try to clear the whole map at once.
So sip that spirit juice, friends—not to forget your worries, but to remember this:
You’re seen.
You’re supplied.
You’re not late.
And the mission is still very much on track.
Now breathe easy… like someone realizing, in a quiet moment, that they were never really alone after all.
