Series:
In The Soup
While Beyond the Algorithmic Soup unmasks how digital platforms hijack attention and monetize human desire, Outsmarting the Algorithmic Soup converts that diagnosis into a hands-on field manual for teens and parents. Grounded in Catholic virtue ethics, this standalone series equips families with practical tools to break free from algorithmic noise and live as irreplaceable originals.
Series:
The Altar & Armor
In an age dominated by algorithmic noise, mimetic pressure, and incremental moral drift, this tactical field manual series equips believers to build an unshakeable interior fortress and fight from Christ's already-secured victory. Combining patristic theology with strategic maneuver doctrine, this series delivers a battle-tested blueprint to help disciples reject bystander apathy, dismantle cultural conformity, and stand fast as vigilant sentinels over their homes, workplaces, and parishes.

COMING SOON: Conditioned to Stand
When sudden trials arrive, we don't rise to the occasion—we fall back to our pre-crisis conditioning. Blending military doctrine with Catholic ascetic wisdom, Conditioned to Stand delivers a tactical field guide to overcoming performance anxiety and holding the line in Christ's secured victory.

Meet the Author
Bruce E. Panneton is not a theologian or a religious scholar; he is a man who spent most of his life in the "Egyptian life" of secularism before finding his way back to the Catholic Church. A biologist by training and a higher education administrator by profession, Bruce approaches his faith with a "Charism of Perspective," treating his return to the Sacraments like a doctoral dissertation he actually wants to do.
The Academic and the Outdoorsman
By profession, Dr. Panneton serves as a Higher Ed administrator at a small, rural community college. A biologist with three degrees from East Carolina University, he has spent nearly three decades in leadership, including nearly two decades in the classroom. When he isn’t navigating the complexities of higher education or the evolution of Generative AI, Bruce is an avid outdoorsman and hunter who finds "wordless awe" and the Sanctus of creation in the silence of the breaking dawn in the turkey woods, or in a duck blind with dear friends.
The Journey Home: A Reconnaissance Mission
After 28 years away from the Church, Bruce’s path home was kindled by a profound tragedy in early 2025. Inspired by the steadfast grace of the clergy and the legacy of those who were the "salt of the earth," he began a tactical "Reconnaissance Mission" into the heart of the Faith. He found his rhythm through the Bible in a Year podcast, the rigors of Exodus 90, and a growing "Band of Brothers" who keep him anchored in the breach.
A Unique Lens: Riffs, Roots, and Strategy
Bruce’s writing, including The Layman’s Reconnaissance Report series, is characterized by a "bilingual" ability to bridge the gap between ancient dogma and the contemporary psyche.
