Spirit Juice: THE BIG 250

This weekend America turns 250.
That's a long time for any nation. Empires have risen and fallen. Kingdoms have come and gone. Flags have been raised...and lowered.
Yet here we stand.
Not because we're perfect.
Not because we've never failed.
Not because every page of our history has been glorious.
We stand because, 250 years ago, ordinary men made an extraordinary claim:
That our rights do not come from kings.
They do not come from governments.
They do not come from majorities.
They come from our Creator.
That single truth changed the world. Every generation since has had a choice:
Will we live worthy of that truth...or slowly forget it?
Freedom has never been self-sustaining.
Every generation must choose it.
Every generation must defend it.
Every generation must renew it.
Because liberty is not inherited. It's stewarded.
The Founders pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.
The question for us isn't whether we would have signed the Declaration.
The question is much harder. What are we willing to sacrifice to preserve what they began?
Will we tell the truth when it's unpopular?
Will we defend the dignity of every human life?
Will we love our neighbors instead of caricaturing them?
Will we build families strong enough to outlast cultural storms?
Will we raise children who know that freedom without virtue becomes chaos?
Will we remember that rights endure only when rooted in responsibility?
America doesn't need another angry voice.
She needs better citizens.
She needs people of character.
She needs men and women whose first allegiance is to God, whose hearts are governed before they ever seek to govern others.
Because nations don't collapse first at their borders. They collapse in their souls. And they are renewed the very same way.
One family.
One church.
One neighborhood.
One courageous act at a time.
So this Independence Day...
Fly the flag.
Thank a veteran.
Teach your children the story.
Pray for your country.
Forgive where bitterness has taken root.
Serve someone who can never repay you.
And remember: The greatest inheritance we can give the next generation isn't a stronger economy or a bigger house.
It's the conviction that truth is real...that Freedom is a gift...and that Virtue still matters...
And God has not finished writing America's story.
Happy 250th, America.
Now let's be the generation that leaves her stronger than we found her.
One Nation.
Under God.
Ordered by Truth.
United in Charity.
