Spirit Juice: Who Is Like God?

There is a reason the Church gives us a warrior for a patron.

St. Michael doesn't come onto the battlefield shouting,

"Look how powerful I am!"

His very name is a challenge:

MI-CHA-EL?

"Who is like God?"

That's the battle cry.

Because the first lie of every spiritual battle is the same:

"You don't need God."

The serpent whispered it in Eden.

Pride believed it in heaven.

And every temptation since has carried some version of it:

  • You can do this yourself.

  • You don't need forgiveness.

  • You don't need the Church.

  • You don't need prayer.

  • You don't need God.

Michael's answer?

Who is like God?

  • Not me.

  • Not you.

  • Not power.

  • Not money.

  • Not politics.

  • Not technology.

  • Not the culture.

God.

That's why Michael is terrifying to hell.

Not because he is God.

Because he knows he isn't.

That's the secret of spiritual warfare:

Humility is armor.

Michael doesn't fight from ego.

He fights from obedience.

He doesn't establish his own kingdom.

He defends God's.

He doesn't seek glory.

He points to the King.

And when the dragon rises...

Michael stands.

Not because the dragon isn't frightening.

But because the dragon isn't God.

Brothers and sisters...

There are battles happening around us that we cannot see.

  • Battles for truth.

  • Battles for families.

  • Battles for our children.

  • Battles for our attention.

  • Battles for our souls.

And the answer isn't panic.

It isn't obsession.

It isn't hatred.

It isn't becoming what we're fighting.

The answer is to stand where Michael stands:

Under God.

  • Pray.

  • Fast.

  • Tell the truth.

  • Reject the lie.

  • Guard your heart.

  • Protect the vulnerable.

  • Stay close to Christ.

And when the enemy whispers,

"Who do you think you are?"

You don't have to answer with your own strength.

You answer with Michael's question:

WHO IS LIKE GOD?

And the answer is...

No one.

Not even close.

So today, put on the armor.

Stand your ground.

Call upon St. Michael.

But remember what the Archangel himself teaches us:

The victory doesn't belong to the strongest.

It belongs to God.

St. Michael, defend us in battle.

Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.

Who is like God?

No one.

Now...

Stand.
